Recruit

We are looking for an early engineer who can turn messy real-world operations into systems where people and AI produce better outcomes, faster.

About Kijitra

Kijitra helps companies redesign how work actually happens in the AI era. Through collaborative validation development and AI operations implementation, we build systems where people and AI keep producing more and better outcomes.

Our strength is staying close to the field. We map how work starts, how decisions move, where human judgment matters, and how work reaches an outcome. Then we rebuild the operation from the ground up with AI as part of the execution layer.

The work does not end at launch. The operations we build are designed to learn from use and improve over time. We are not chasing one-off efficiency gains. We build systems that let teams keep creating more value.

Why This Work Matters

Kijitra wants to create a world where things with real value are rewarded.

Value is not rewarded just because it exists. Ideas, technology, time, judgment, and experience need the right path to reach the people who need them and be evaluated by the market. That is why we care about the full business flow: how something is built, delivered, observed, and improved.

AI makes it possible to run that cycle faster and with more depth than before. Kijitra brings that capability into real operations and business development, so valuable work can take shape faster, reach the right people, and be rewarded properly.

About the Role

Build AI-native operations.

We are looking for a core early technical member who can work across product, engineering, and business operations. This is not a role for only implementing fixed specifications. You will help decide what the system should be by understanding the work itself.

In practice, you will work with customers and partners, break down workflows, find where work slows down or loses quality, and design operations where AI can execute reliably while humans focus on judgment. That means connecting architecture, data, permissions, review flows, internal tools, and day-to-day operations into one working system.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with customers and partners to understand real operational workflows.
  • Design AI-enabled operations that combine agents, APIs, data, internal tools, permissions, and review flows.
  • Build and operate the systems you design, then improve them based on real use.
  • Improve Kijitra's own engineering practices, including development process, review standards, permissions, logging, and knowledge management.
  • Help shape technical decision-making, product direction, and engineering culture from the earliest stage.

Who We’re Looking For

Mindset

  • Work backward from business outcomes and field constraints to decide what should be built.
  • Make sound tradeoffs across speed, quality, maintainability, security, and operational reality.
  • Turn ambiguous, changing situations into concrete issues and working systems.
  • Think across architecture, data, permissions, review flows, and operations instead of treating them as separate layers.

Requirements

  • Strong experience designing and building web applications or business systems.
  • Ability to turn complex business requirements into implementable system designs.
  • Hands-on experience with AI agents, LLMs, APIs, databases, or cloud infrastructure.
  • Good judgment around code quality, development speed, maintainability, security, and operational quality.

Nice to Have

  • Experience leading technical decisions or designing development processes in a small team.
  • Experience building software close to customers or business teams at a business company, startup, development agency, consulting firm, or similar environment.
  • Experience with hiring, team building, or engineering culture building.

Working Style

  • Development work and interviews can be conducted in English.
  • Japanese communication is not required for day-to-day engineering work.
  • Japanese ability is welcome.
